Ron Paul to Participate in ABC News Debate

Last night on Coast to Coast AM, Art Bell attacked Fox News Channel for excluding Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul from Sunday's debate. Pointing out the hypocrisy of Fox's "Fair and Balanced" motto, Bell demanding outloud what it had to fear by giving Paul airtime. He then suggested listeners "send them an email, tell 'em what you think" (Click here to listen):
Fox News sucks! That's what I think. You know this is just ridiculous. Ron Paul, a man I've interviewed many times, got more of a percentage by a lot than Rudy Giuliani, but Fox News won't let him in the debate. What the hell are they afraid of? I hope if they've got sponsors, I hope they drop. It's just not right. What are they afraid of?
Ron Paul is a fascinating man with fascinating ideas. He's got every right to be heard; he's earned the right to be heard. He's made more money than a lot of them, and he's got more interest in percentage from voters than a lot of them. So what can possibly be the reason for keeping Ron Paul out? C'mon Fox! "Fair and Balanced," isn't that what you say? "Fair and Balanced" (laughter). Is that really what you want people to think that you're fair and balanced? Nothing fair, nothing balanced about keeping Ron Paul out.
So, what I would say to all of you, whether you're a Ron Paul supporter or not, send them an email, tell 'em what you think. Are they afraid that new ideas might be heard? Are they afraid the American people might wake up? Are they afraid some of the other Republican candidates might suffer a deficit because Ron Paul says something the American people want to hear. C'mon Fox (sneering).
After Bell's damning monologue, callers unanimously voiced their agreement with Bell's assertions, talking almost exclusively of the Ron Paul candidacy. This made for an extraordinarily unusual and entertaining hour. To say the country doesn't want to hear from Paul is absurd.
